Step right up and witness one spectacular event of awesome music and art. The Wanderland Music and Arts Festival 2014 is happening on May 17 at the Globe Circuit Events Grounds in Makati. To heighten thrills, Wanderland’s carnival theme will feature the River Island Wanderwheel, the High Striker, and carnival games such as Feed the Monster, Ring My Nose, Wanderball, Balloon Pop, and Crazy Cans. The Art Island will showcase live art by Anjo Bolarada, JP Cuison, and Dee Jae Pa’ este, among other art activities.

 

Headlining the festival is American indie pop band, The Drums, best known for their ’80s-style surf rock music. Other international acts like The Paper Kites, The Royal Concept, Architecture in Helsinki, and more are set to take the stage. Homegrown talents The Ransom Collective, Brisom, and Chocolate Grass will also perform.

Drop by The Steps Project: Active Lifestyle Fair, happening on May 18 at the UP Diliman Academic Oval.

 

Rovilson Fernandez, a fitness advocate and celebrity, will be there to host. It will also help the charity movement The 10,000 Slippers. Everyone is invited to help by donating brand new slippers that will be sent to UP Tacloban.

 

For every round in the Academic Oval a participant makes, either by walking, running or jogging, the participant will receive a colored band. This band represents 2000 steps. These bands can then be exchanged for exciting treats and prizes in the fair's activity area. The more colored bands collected, the more freebies and surprises a "Stepper" can claim.

Norwegians all over the world will celebrate the Bicentenary of the Norwegian constitution, also known as "the people's constitution." Since the best way to celebrate a people's constitution is with a party for the people, the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Manila proudly supports this event.

 

Films that will be featured include Troll Hunter, Thale, and Cold Prey. Entrance is free.

World-renowned South Korean pop group 2NE1 returns to Manila for a one-night-only concert as part of their upcoming world tour. Catch their stop in Manila on May 17, 8 p.m., at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

 

2NE1 are a four-member K-Pop girl group formed by YG Entertainment in 2009 consists of singers CL, Minzy, Dara, and Bom. The group debuted in May 9th of the same year with the chart-hitting single, "Fire." The song gained instant success in South Korea and topped all on- and offline charts.
