Get your heart racing at the 2014 Grand Prix Season, the only night street race in the global Formula One Circuit. Keep the exhilaration going and catch the electrifying in-circuit concert, which includes superstar headliners like Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, and Robbie Williams.

1. Epicurian Market

Where: Marina Bay Sands Convention Hall, 10 Bayfront Avenue

When: September 12 to 14, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Go on a culinary adventure at the Epicurian Market where you can sample the best in international cuisine from celebrity chefs, restaurants, and over 50 dining establishments. Meet the chefs behind the gourmet dishes and stay for a master class or two.




2. Hidden Finds by Public Garden

Where: TripleOne Somerset, 111 Somerset Road

When: September 20 to 21, 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

For your retail therapy needs, Public Garden’s art and design market should be your first destination. Discover unique and eclectic finds from creative and passionate individuals. Pick up a new skill or two by participating in their series of craft workshops at Level 16 of Tripleone Somerset.



3. Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival

Where: Eu Tong Sen Street, New Bridge Road, Pagoda Street, Tregganu Street, Sago Street, South Bridge Road, Garden Bridge

When: August 23 to September 28, 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. every Sunday to Thursday and 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. every Friday to Saturday

Looking to take home some mooncakes? There’s no better place than Chinatown, which hosts the Mid-Autumn Festival celebration. Soak in the lunar festivities as Chinatown’s streets come alive with lights and lanterns. Ready your cameras!




4. Bacchanalia GPSS Weekend

Where: Orchid Main Ballroom, Marina Bay Sands, 10 Bayfront Avenue

When: September 19, 7 p.m. onwards and September 20, 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Get pumped for the racing weekend with glitzy brunch and dinner parties, mouthwatering food, and plenty of music and champagne to go around. Bacchanalia is known for their over-the-top Grand Prix celebrations so make sure to pencil this gastronomic party on your to-do list.




5. Dude, Where’s My Food?

Where: Artichoke Café, Sculpture Square, 161 Middle Road

When: September 16 to 21, 6:30 p.m.

In the true spirit of testosterone-filled sports, Artichoke is hosting a feasting frenzy of meals inspired by "dude food." Indulge in dishes like liquid nachos and mushrooms, ribeye glazed with cola caramel, and Bak Chor Mee sandwiches topped with Lingam’s chili mayo sauce.



6. Full Steam Ahead at Tanjong Beach Club

Where: 120 Tanjong Beach Walk, Sentosa

When: September 13, 4 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Imagine this: 12 straight hours of nonstop beach partying, complete with sand at your feet, the thrumming beats of DJ Aldrin, and fire twirling performances that will leave you mesmerized. Oh, and did we mention Tanjong Beach Club’s luxurious infinity pool? We’ll say it again. Infinity pool.




7.  UJONG @ Raffles

8. Amber Lounge

When: September 20 to 21, 11 p.m. onwards

Satiate your appetite for partying at the Amber Lounge, home to one of the most exclusive post-race parties in the country. Live performances and celebrity sightings aside, one of the biggest highlights is its famed fashion show featuring Formula One drivers on the runway.




9. Singapore International Festival of Arts

Where: SOTA Theatres, 1 Zubir Said Drive; Drama Centre, 100 Victoria Street; 72-13, Mohd Sultan Road

When: August 12 to September 21, various times

Theater enthusiasts, take note. The Singapore International Festival of Arts (SIFA) is the pinnacle of all art events in the year. Directed by Singapore theatre veteran Ong Keng Sen, SIFA 2014 includes shows such as Peter Pan and CRY, TROJANS! (Troilus and Cressida).




10. The Podium Lounge

Where: The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, The Grand Ballroom - Level 1, 7 Raffles Avenue

When: September 19 to 21, 10 p.m. onwards

Feel like an A-lister when you attend The Podium Lounge which annually hosts just about everyone worth talking about (think racecar drivers, celebrities, ambassadors, and even royalty). This year, you can look forward to a race memorabilia auction, a performance by Nadia Ali, and food from 3-Michelin Star Chef Quique Dacosta.
