Celebrate the weekend with a bang and a fiesta at the BGC Passionfest 2014 from November 28 to 30 at Bonifacio High Street.

 

It's a full weekend of games, food, art activities, and free public performances at Bonifacio High Street! This year, the annual three-day event commemorates the heroism of Andres Bonifacio and the Filipinos’ resilience. This year’s theme, A Boni-fide Urban Fiesta, features a full Filipino fusion of food, shopping, art, outdoors, games, fitness, and entertainment.

 

The fiesta kicks of with a street party, followed by a fun run the next day. The musical Close Engkantos of the Christmas Kind will also be presented on Saturday. Art activities include a Jeepney Sign Art event and DIY Saranggola. The fiesta closes with the annual Parada de Kalesa, complete with decorated carriages, marjorettes, and street performers. There’s also Bonifa-SHOW, a variety show featuring top Philippine performers.

Sit back and relax at the CinemaJam 2014: Outdoor Movie and Music Festival on November 29, 10 a.m., at the Greenfield District Central Park. Tickets are priced at P500.

 

Now on its second year, Crizal Transitions Cinemajam is the first day-to-night outdoor movie and music festival in the Philippines. The event is a transition from afternoon fun fair to a sunset music-fest that turns into an evening film screening and ends with an after party concert. The featured films are Letters to Juliet and Now You See Me, followed by performances from Banda ni Kleggy, Chocolate Factory, Franco, Imago, Itchyworms, Pedicab, Urbandub, and more. Proceeds from the event will benefit the children of World Vision Foundation.

Ballet Manila's two-in-one holiday treat is sure to delight the entire family as it celebrates the best of both Western and Pinoy Christmas traditions! Catch Nutkraker and Pasko Na Naman Muli on November 29, 7:30 p.m., at the Aliw Theater.

 

The first part of the gala performance will showcase Act 2 of the classic, The Nutcracker, the quintessential Christmas ballet. The second half unfolds to a medley of Filipino Christmas carols performed in dance. It is inspired by familiar themes: an OFW coming home to be reunited with his family, children singing Christmas songs in the streets for a few coins, families gathered together while feasting on ham and queso de bola for noche buena, simbang gabi and puto bumbong, gifts wrapped in colorful paper, and many more holiday traditions!

Layeta Bucoy’s Prinsipe Munti is an adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's most-read and most translated book, Le Petit Prince. Expect a version that is a fun mix of storytelling and entertainment through performance with music and shadow play or puppetry.

Sign up for a DIY Interior Styling workshop with Craft MNL, happening on November 29, 2 p.m.

 

This class is interior styling made simple, designed with new home owners in mind. At the end of the day, the objective is to gain more confidence in interior styling upon learning the different design elements and practical tips in making your new space your very own. All participants will go home with a mood board for one room of their choice, as well as a DIY styling starter kit with a notebook and measuring tools. Participants will be requested to bring additional magazines, swatches, and design pegs.
