Watch the love story come to life in Beauty and the Beast, opening on January 10, 2 p.m., at the CCP Main Theater. The production runs through January 25. Tickets are priced at P8,337P7,228, P6,114, P5,005, P4,445, P3,336, and P2,222.


Beauty and the Beast is the classic story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped in a spell cast by an enchantress. The only way to reverse the spell is if the Beast learns how to love, and be loved-but time is running out and he and his household might be doomed for all eternity.

Both kids and kids-at-heart are invited to sign up for Color Play, a basic watercolor workshop happening on January 10, at 2 p.m. It will be held at Craft MNL’s new space at Arnaiz Avenue. Introduction of materials, tips and techniques, and brush handling will be discussed. Practice templates, take-home materials, and snacks will be provided during the workshop. No experience is necessary for this fun watercolor class! The workshop fee is P1,500.



This hands-on session will be led by illustrator Jamie Bauza. She graduated from Ateneo de Manila University in 2011 with a Fine Arts degree in Information Design and an LSAA (Loyola Schools Awards for the Arts) award for Illustration. Learn basic Resin Casting and make jewelry pieces! A two-day session will be happening on January 10 and 11 at 2 p.m. The workshop will cover preparing and priming your pieces, glazing with resin, tinting, and hand-finishing pieces. Participants get to take home a resin starter kit with resin solution, mixing cups, and sticks. The workshop fee is P3,600.


The workshop will be led by Nikki Abelardo of Junk Studio. She is an avid supporter of the DIY movement and a full-time crafter. Junk Studio's main inspiration comes from upcycling, which is a creative way of recycling ordinary found objects into sustainable eco-friendly goods. Pop Art, Nostalgic Icons, and Geekery are some of the various themes that influence Nikki's work.

Sign up for the Egg Power Run Half-Marathon, happening on January 11, 3 a.m., at the Bonifacio Global City. As a challenge, all runners will be given a raw egg at the start line which they will have to keep from breaking until they reach the finish line. Winners of the challenge will get even more eggs as their prize! No whole egg at the finish line, no additional eggs will be given. Runners who opt not to bring their eggs to the finish line may leave the eggs at the nearest water stations.

Round up a team and get into the second run of Sikat Mitre Futsal Competition! The Men’s Open will happen on January 11 and the Women’s Open on January 18.
