Two PH Beaches Make It On World's 50 Best Ranking

(SPOT.ph) It's no secret that the Philippines has some of the world's most picturesque and stunning shorelines featuring powder-white sand and crystal clear waters. But in case you needed more convincing, two of our own just landed spots in the World's 50 Best Beaches list—cementing our country's reputation as being amongst the most paradisiacal places on earth.  

Here are the beaches that made the World's 50 Best Beaches list for 2025:

Although UNESCO-protected Cala Goloritzè, a beach in Italy, topped this year's list, Entalula Beach in Palawan and Bon Bon Beach in Romblon also placed in enviable spots, ranking 2nd and 38th, respectively. These rankings were decided on by The World's Best Beaches, a travel website dedicated to exploring beaches worldwide to inspire your next vacation.

It’s no surprise we made the list, but what’s exciting is the spotlight landed on two little-known gems, instead of on the usual favorites like Boracay or Cebu. Entalula Beach, though somewhere tucked within the popular island destination of El Nido, is considered one of the area’s “overlooked slices of heaven,” to use the words of The World's Best Beaches. Found just south of Miniloc Island, Entalula is prized for its peaceful seclusion, dramatic limestone cliffs, and powdery white sand.

More than just a cove to chill at, the area is also perfect for swimming and snorkeling, with a vibrant marine ecosystem teeming with corals and other marine life just a short swim from the shore. It's a perfect spot for those looking for R&R with a bit of adventure. 

On the other hand, Bon Bon Beach in Romblon flies even more under the radar, as it appears and disappears with the tide. That's because Bon Bon Beach is actually a sandbar that stretches out to Bangug Island. When the conditions are right, visitors can walk across the soft white sand and shallow, glassy waters straight to the neighboring isle. With calm seas and barely a ripple in sight, it’s the perfect spot for a leisurely swim, sun-soaked lounging, or simply pretending you’re on your own private island.

This isn't the first time Entalula and Bon Bon Beach made the 50 Best Beaches list. This year is actually an improvement. In 2024, Entalula was ranked 4th overall, while Bon Bon Beach was 45th. We're keeping our fingers crossed that these two spots (and others on our shores) rise in the ranks further, with a Philippine Beach finally securing the coveted top spot.

And make no mistake: getting on this list isn't exactly, well, a walk on the beach. Each entry is vetted by over 1,000 travel experts from around the globe. All these spots got the stamp of approval from travel enthusiasts who've scoured the earth for the best sandy spots that stand out for their unique landscapes, rich biodiversity, pristine condition, easy access, calm waters, fewer crowds, and a higher likelihood of delivering that perfect beach day.  So even though these places look like your quintessential panoramic desktop wallpapers, you can rest assured, yes, these places do exist.
