One Day in Manila for P800: Alabang
Once a farming district, it's now one of the most exciting locations south of the metro.
(SPOT.ph) In the 1980s, if the north had Fiesta Carnival and C.O.D., the south had Big Bang sa Alabang. It was the go-to weekend habit for families and kids to enjoy lots of rides and carnival treats amid the playful noise and buzzy atmosphere.
Today, Alabang is a developed residential and commercial enclave home to big companies. But don’t let the skyscrapers deceive you, because among the high-rise buildings are open spaces adorned with trees, striking a good balance between modern infrastructure and Mother Nature.
Alabang is accessible through either the Alabang or Filinvest exits from SLEX, or via PUJs/PUVs passing along the Alabang-Zapote road.
Big Bang sa Alabang may be a thing of the past, but not to worry. A day spent in Alabang can still give you a bang for your buck!
Relax at The Park in Madrigal
Southbound from Alabang-Zapote road, turn left on Acacia Avenue, make a U-turn, then turn right on Trade Avenue and you will see The Park which is part of the Madrigal Business area. For those working in the nearby offices, The Park allows for a quick change of scenery from the four walls of the corporate office. Take a seat and chat with a friend, or just feel the breeze from the cluster of trees amidst the neighboring buildings.
Satisfy your sweet cravings at Le Petit Cheri
Take a break from the usual Asian flavors and drop by Le Petit Cheri for your fair share of French desserts. As you enter, you're welcomed with some dainty interiors and a Parisian feel. Adjacent to the salad bar is a photo wall that can be a nice conversation piece among friends on an afternoon treat. On the second floor is a mini-library filled with various titles from different genres.

Order Crispy Pork Sisig at Manong’s
Manong’s Bar & Grill is a famous after-office hangout and it doesn’t fail to deliver by serving quality food at affordable prices. Manong’s has been around for 15 years and is still a favorite among south-dwellers. Its isolation from the chain of restaurants in the Alabang commercial area gives it a more cozy and laid-back vibe. Whether you want to chill with colleagues or celebrate an occasion with the family, Manong’s is the best place to visit.
