(SPOT.ph) If you're interested in history and have a flair for story-telling or if you're an aspiring tour guide, check out Gabay Saysay: A Basic Tour Guiding for Local History—it's a special event hosted by the Manila International Book Fair and it's happening on September 16, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., Meeting Room 4, at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.
Historians Michael “Xiao” Chua and John “JR” Ramos will teach you about national and local history, collecting reliable information, safety and security measures during tours, culturally sensitive and ethical tour guiding, and investing in books and other resources.
So if you're a history enthusiast or a teacher or student of tourism, history, or social science, then this special seminar is right up your alley. Registration fee is P2,000 (exlusive of VAT) with snacks and certificate of attendance.
