Books, blind dates, a pop-up library + more at The Book Stop
Book lovers are in for a treat starting today!
(SPOT.ph) Here's something for all the bookworms out there: From May 4 to 7 at the Ayala Triangle Gardens, pop-up library The Book Stop and Instituto Cervantes have collaborated to present a series of reading-related events.
Check out The Book Stop and engage with fellow readers in discussions about literature. Not only that, you can borrow volumes for free and exchange books as well. The Book Stop, designed and built by WTA Architecture & Design Studio, aims to highlight the relevance of libraries and passion for reading.
Other activities include an Open Mic Poetry Night on May 5 at 7 p.m. featuring several poets, spoken word artists, and other performers.
On May 7, The Book Stop will hold an event called "Blind Date with a Book," where people are invited to bring a book and have it exchanged with a book of their interest. The twist? All the books that will be brought and exchanged are wrapped and will only include the keywords of what the book is about.
Admission to The Book Stop is free on a first-come, first-served basis. The Book Stop was also one of the highlights during Dia del Libro on April 23.
