Pokemon Go Lure Parties are taking over the malls

It all starts today!

(SPOT.ph) Admit it: whether you're a true Pokemon fan from the '90s, or you're one of those who caught the Pokemon fever from said '90s kids, or even if you've just hopped on the bandwagon, Pokemon Go has taken over your life. But while you enjoy the long walks (bumping into strangers and spontaneous roadtrips with your friends included), it's getting a little tiring to walk for miles, pay for gas (only to catch your 10th Pidgey), or massage the back of your neck from staring down at your phone too much.

Fortunately, trainers, you're all in luck. Pokemon Lure Parties are happening this weekend at your favorite shopping malls! If you’re looking for a safe place with higher chances of finding rare Pokemons while still getting the thrill of playing with friends, then mark your calendars. Pro tip: Bring a powerbank!

The party starts at SM Malls today, August 12. By uploading a video of your lure party experience and using the hashtag #GottaCatchEmAllAtSM and tagging @smsupermalls, you get the chance to be one of three winners of a P10,000 shopping spree! This Lure Party is happening today, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Robinsons Malls are dedicating three consecutive days of Lure Parties for Pokemon Go fans! You also have the chance to win gift certificates if you upload your catch on Facebook with the hashtags #CatchEmAllatRobinsonsMalls and #PokemonGoPH and by tagging @RobinsonsMalls starting today, August 12, until Sunday, August 14, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

There's also a three-day Lure Party over at Ayala Malls starting today, August 12, until Sunday, August 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. This Pokemon hunt has a little something extra, too. One part of the event called Pokemon Strikes Back will have Pikachus going around the mall with large inflatable poke balls, and trying to catch random players who will then get prizes like an Ayala Malls Amore Prepaid card and other special gifts.
