This Boracay resort is "Asia's Most Excellent" for 2017
It's in a private cove, of course.
(SPOT.ph) Boracay Island in Aklan is known as the “Summer Party Capital of the Philippines” because of the long strip of restos and party places along its white beach. Suffice it to say, you wouldn’t go there unless you were planning to go on bar crawl in your bikini and board shorts until way past midnight.
Except when you’re booked at Shangri-La's Boracay Resort and Spa, which offers the peace and quiet you never thought you’d get in this tropical paradise. It was recently declared Asia's Most Excellent Beach Hotel for 2017 by Asia Awards of Excellence. The award-giving body had its inaugural awards on March 31 at the high-rise Macau Tower in China. Other winners were The Parisian for Most Excellent Themed Hotel, Grand Hyatt Hong Kong for Most Excellent Hotel Renovation, and Mandarin Oriental, Taipei for Most Excellent Presidential Suite.
Shangri-La's Boracay Resort and Spa is a five-star luxury resort in Barangay Yapak. So exclusive is the resort that its guests are chartered from the Caticlan port to its private coast via a speedboat. You can choose from their standard rooms, the Seaview Suite, the Tree House Villa, the Loft Garden Villa, the One-Bedroom Pool Villa, and, of course, the Presidential Villa. Room rates range from P24,000 to P152,000 per night.
But the cherry on top is its in-house spa called Chi, which is detached from the rest of the resort to ensure privacy. The spa village complex offers a variety of full-body massages, hydrotherapy, and other relaxing exercises.
Shangri-La's Boracay Resort and Spa is at Barangay Yapak, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan. For more information, visit Shangri-La's Boracay Resort and Spa's website.
