Go on a Different Kind of a Blind Date This Weekend
We heard that books are the best ones.
(SPOT.ph) After a successful Intramuros Open House in September, Fort Santiago and Baluarte de San Diego open their gates once again for anyone and everyone who wants to have a good time within the Walled City. Free bike tours, an outdoor concert, and food fairs are scheduled in Intramuros on October 14 and 15. Plus The Book Stop, your favorite bite-sized library, is joining in on the fun through an exciting activity called Blind Date with a Book.
To participate, dress up one or two of your books that you're willing to share, and write down keywords on the wrapping paper to say what the book is about. Proceed to The Book Stop at Plaza Roma in Intramuros between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. during the two-day affair, leave your book on the designated Blind Date shelf, then grab a "blind book" that piqued your interest. Finally, go on a date that you'll surely won't regret—an afternoon of reading pleasure.
Launched on April 23, 2016, The Book Stop Project is on a mission to encourage reading and a passion for literature. It aims to "share ideas, one book at a time."
Blind Date with a Book is on October 14 and 15, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Book Stop, Plaza Roma (in front of Manila Cathedral), Intramuros, Manila. For more information, follow The Book Stop Project on Facebook. Use the hashtag #BookStopBlindDate.
