Experience Baler Beyond Surfing with Tribes and Treks
Book for the weekend!
(SPOT.ph) Baler in Aurora Province is known for its amazing coast perfect for beach-lovers and spots for both beginner surfers and the pros. But this tourist destination offers something else beyond its reputation as a surf town—a rural vibe that would make you come back again and again especially when you’re tired of the city. Tribes and Treks, a "voluntourism" initiative by The Circle Hostel, also gives a one-of-a-kind tour to travelers who want to see Baler in a different light.
For at least P1,500, you can trek through a thriving rainforest watershed and swim in the fresh mountain water of Diaboboo River in Aurora. There's also time to explore a local cacao farm, learn how to make dark chocolate, and taste a cup of freshly-made cacao ice cream. The tour also includes a visit to the Altas village and lunch with the IP community. You also get to stay at the cool and artsy The Circle Hostel for an additional of P450.
The Circle Hostel's Tribes and Treks Aurora is on November 18. For reservations and inquiries, visit MAD Travel's event page on Facebook.
