This Digital Playground Makes Sci-Fi Dreams Come True

It's in Cebu!

( Cebu has always been known for its white-sand beaches, luxurious resorts, pristine islands, and caves and waterfalls fit for the adventurous. This year, there's another attraction in its tourism repertoire—a digital playground for kids and kids-at-heart called the PlayLab at Robinsons Galleria Cebu.

Butterfly Garden

Found on the first level of the mall, PlayLab features 14 attractions that would make any digital native feel as if he or she has stepped inside a video game. There's the Butterfly Garden, where little creatives can design their own butterflies, and the Live Forest stations, where they can make their spirit animal roam in a virtual jungle through touchscreen art tables.

Tap and Glow

The musically inclined can check out the Music Wall—an interactive wall where you can tap your hands on strings and percussions to make your own song. Tap and Glow and Light Brite let kids play with patterns and light to create a dazzling masterpiece.

Sand Box

There's also a whole set of educational attractions that will keep everyone from feeling bored. Tangram lets the science geeks build a rocket ship, the Sand Box is all about geography, and Save the Reef can teach us all a thing or two about saving the world.

Poppin’ Pond

Room Racers

The more competitive ones can check out Poppin' Pond, which lets kids slide on projected images of colorful stars and bubbles ala-Candy Crush; or Room Racers, where wannabe-drifters can battle it out, and Head Rush, which lets you satisfy your need for speed.

PlayLab is at G/F Robinsons Galleria Cebu, General Maxilom Avenue corner Sergio Osmeña Boulevard, Tejero, Cebu City. It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are at P200 (weekdays) and P250 (weekends) for the first two hours. For more information, follow PlayLab on Facebook.
