Gumasa's Newest Resort in the "Boracay of the South" Shows You What You’re Missing
It's time to fly to Sarangani.
(SPOT.ph) When it comes to white-sand beaches, the Philippines doesn't hold back—so much so that we have a number of alternatives to the temporarily closed Boracay Island. And southern Mindanao, specifically Gumasa Beach in Sarangani Province, is no different. With the opening of Kamari Resort and Hotel in May, it's only a matter of time before travelers all over the world flock to this under-the-radar paradise.
The resort has its own private stretch of white sand.
Rooms are furnished with twin- and queen-sized beds. There are also Family villas and Bay View villas.
Kamari Resort and Hotel was developed by AMCOOP, a cooperative that provides employment to local communities.
Kamari hopes to set new standards in the hospitality industry in the beach town of Glan by focusing on relaxation and privacy. It only has 14 villas and 10 hotel rooms, and its beachfront is exclusive to in-house guests, ensuring utmost tranquility. Most of the cottages are perched on the property's rolling hills, as the resort has been designed with the natural landscape and lush greenery in mind.
Guests can try Café 92 Restaurant, which offers a variety of Filipino, American, and Asian dishes; and the Beach Bar, which serves colorful mocktails (and cocktails, of course!) all day long.
Kamari Resort and Hotel is along the National Highway, Gumasa, Gian, Sarangani. For more information, follow Kamari Resort and Hotel on Facebook or call 0917-701-0529. Walk-ins are not allowed.
