(SPOT.ph) For budget travelers, Airbnbs and hostels are the best accommodation options especially when abroad. But CUBE Boutique Capsule Hotel in Singapore proves that you don't have to burn a hole in your pocket to have both a comfortable stay and a culturally immersive experience. In September 2016, CUBE brand launched its first property right in the heart of Chinatown; and in February 2018, it opened its doors to another branch in the historic Kampong Glam.
Â
You'd think that the capsule is a full-sized hotel room with all the available amenities.
Â
CUBE capsules also feature dim lighting and soundproofing for a restful ambience.
Â
The new two-floor hotel features 56 capsules, which either have a Queen-sized bed or a Single-sized bed. Guests can also opt to stay in the female-only room for an extra layer of security. All capsules (ranging from SG $50 to SG $120) are fully automated—from adjusting its own temperature and air-flow to reducing ambient noise to make sure that you can get some shut-eye despite the crowd. Units are also equipped with their own universal electrical outlet so you don't have to worry about running out of juice, a safe and a locker drawer, a small vanity area, and a space for your clothes.
Â
Masjid Sultan (Sultan Mosque) and the Malay Heritage Center, both tourist destinations, are within walking distance from CUBE.
Â
Once you step out, you don't have to worry about where to buy your next meal or what to do next in Singapore. Bussorah Street, where CUBE Boutique Capsule Hotel – Kampong Glam is located, is close to a variety of Halal restaurants and other international options.
