Brazil’s Famous Street Party Comes to San Juan
Get ready to samba!
(SPOT.ph) Bring out the banjo and drums, don the colorful masks and vibrant attires, and gear up for some all-night samba. Rockwell Land's annual Brasilipinas is coming to Santolan Town Plaza in San Juan on August 25, 7 p.m. to celebrate the best of Brazilian and Filipino cultures. Entrance is free!
Nykó Macá, host of the upcoming festivity, is out to make sure that Brasilipinas party-goers are having the time of their life through the exciting lineup for the night. Taking care of the music are Brigada, SalSamba Fusion, Brazil-born DJ Luane, and Guarana—the longest running Brazilian music band in the Philippines. Escola de Samba de Manila and Imperatriz Filipinense Samba School will teach guests a thing or two about dancing the samba and wearing the elaborate feather boas. And of course, no Brazilian party is complete without a South American-inspired feast of Bacalao Empanadas, Beer-braised Beef over Latin Rice, and New Orleans Crispy Hot Chicken Brioche. Mestre Fantasma is also holding capoeira workshops for all ages from August 23 to 26.
Brasilipinas is on August 25, from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. at Santolan Town Plaza, 276 Santolan Road, San Juan. For more information, follow Brasilipinas on Facebook.
