(SPOT.ph) City of Dreams in Parañaque City is known for providing entertainment to adults with its round-the-clock casino, late-night bar with regular world-class performers, and KTV lounge. Of course, there's also the movie-inspired DreamPlay by DreamWorks facility where parents can leave the little ones while they finish playing poker or baccarat. But what about the older kids who just got dragged along by their parents? City of Dreams proves itself as a family-centered attraction with the opening of The Garage's VR Zone, where top-of-the-line virtual reality technology is brought in by Japan-based video game development company Bandai Namco Amusement.

The first of its kind in the Philippines, VR Zone features three virtual reality games: Mario Kart Arcade, Hospital Escape Terror, and Ski Rodeo. The first, a classic Nintendo game, lets you race with three more friends. You can choose to play as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, or Yoshi and drive with the station's steering wheels and raise your hand to virtually catch balloons, bananas, or coins.
With Hospital Escape Terror, players find themselves virtually restrained in a wheelchair. You and three other individuals have to escape this immersive horror room in just nine minutes, lest all of you "die."
Ski Rodeo lets you pretend that you're skiing downhillāblack handles includedāas if you're actually holding a ski pole. You can even play in pairs for a more competitive race.
The Garage's VR Zone is at City of Dreams Manila, Asean Avenue corner Roxas Boulevard, Entertainment City, ParaƱaque City. Single-player ticket price is at P450. For more information, visit City of Dreams' website.
