(SPOT.ph) As soon as Christmas season starts in the Philippines, expect lanterns of various shapes and sizes hanging from lampposts, tree trunks wrapped with flickering lights, and all kinds of festive décor on the streets. Estancia Mall at Capitol Commons takes things up a notch by playing with laser lights, mirrors, and sounds for a holiday season full of optical illusions. The shopping mall in Pasig City opened this year's Christmas display called Sweet Illusion Chamber Rooms—a series of four secret rooms that'll remind any kid or kid-at-heart of candy land—on November 12. It is open to the public (for free!) and runs until January 6, 2019.

The first thing that mall-goers can see even before going inside Estancia Mall is the curious pink-colored cube at the Capitol Commons Park. Called The Rainbow Prism Room, it features candy-stick shapes and gold-colored Christmas balls that seem to be infinite in number—thanks to the floor-to-ceiling mirrors on the sides. The light projection also changes from a single band of color to a magical rainbow.

Inside Estancia Mall, you have three rooms that are equally magical: the Laser Room, which features a trippy display of dancing laser lights; the Shadow Light Room, which brings you to a candy dreamland through shadows and dotted lights of green and red; and the Dark Light Room, which features neon displays of ice cream, milkshakes, candy canes, and lollipops.

Aside from the Sweet Illusion Chamber Rooms, Estancia Mall also has a festive lineup of activities for Christmas: A fireworks show every Saturday at 7 p.m., Santa Meet-and-Greet on all Saturdays of December from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Simbang Gabi from December 15 to 23 at 6 p.m.—both at the 2/F Bridgeway.
The Sweet Illusion Chamber Rooms runs until January 6, 2019 at Estancia Mall, Capitol Commons, Kapitolyo, Pasig City. For more information, follow Estancia at Capitol Commons on Facebook.
