This New York-Inspired Grand Christmas Parade Is Back in the Metro
It's a sight to behold.
(SPOT.ph) Following a successful first run in 2017, McKinley Hill in Taguig City is bringing back its Grand Christmas Parade inspired by Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York. So gather the family and get ready for the spectacle that starts at 5 p.m. on December 8.
This year's Grand Christmas Parade features 12 gigantic floats depicting the classic Christmas Train, an Asiatown Float, and the Venetian-inspired Rialto Bridge Float; 25-foot balloons shaped like the Gingerbread Man, Santa's reindeer, and even a unicorn; over 50 mascots, including the Powerpuff Girls and Ben10; and over a thousand musicians, dancers, and performers. Some of the biggest names in Philippine entertainment, Jessy Mendiola and Jericho Rosales, are also set to appear.
The route will begin at McKinley West, then head to Lawton Avenue, Upper McKinley Road, and Venetian Drive. It will go around Venice Grand Canal, then head out through Campus Avenue and back to Upper McKinely Road and Tuscany. The parade will circle back to Venice Grand Canal for the grand fireworks finale.
Venice Grand Canal’s Grand Christmas Parade is on December 8, 5 p.m. in McKinley Hill, Taguig City. For more information, follow McKinley Hill on Facebook.
