SNEAK PEEK: Cebu's Newest Resort Is a Burst of Millennial Pink
We're loving the pastel-colored palm trees!
(SPOT.ph) We've seen some of the prettiest colors in the past year, like Millennial Pink, Gen Z Yellow, and all sorts of pastel blue and purple. With this trend in mind, the people behind Asia's biggest floating playground—Inflatable Island in Subic—opens another attraction that's not only fun and exciting but also Instagram-worthy. The Happy Beach is a boutique resort that features a 4,500-square-meter Inflatable Island, the really cute Unicorn Island, the Happy Jungle Lounge, and 16 rooms that just scream pink all over. It opens on December 15 in Mactan, Cebu.

This new resort is tucked between some of Mactan’s high-end accommodations, such as Crimson Resort and Spa and Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa. It’s about five minutes away by Happy Boat, the resort’s exclusive motor boats in shades of pink and yellow, from Angasil Port.

The first thing you’ll see upon arrival is the sprawling Inflatable Island, which sports new obstacle courses to satisfy your Wipeout or American Ninja Warrior dreams. It’s the size of 12 basketball courts put together, a whole court bigger than the one in Subic. The “Wrecking Ball” lets you battle it out with fellow Inflatable Island-lovers as you hit each other with a hanging ball. (*cue Miley Cyrus*) The “Leap of Faith” is a test of upper body strength where you either cross the water by hanging on the monkey bars or jump the distance—if you can. No pressure! The crème de la crème of this new attraction is “The Big One,” a 10-meter inflatable where you can jump, flip, tumble, and slide.

After a day of jumping around, you can hang out by the daybed at the Happy Jungle Lounge or bean bags at the Pink Bali Lounge. The pool bar—of course, still bursting with the color pink—is always open to provide chilled drinks and good music while you take a dip in the pink-tiled pool.

In case you’re staying for the night, The Happy Beach has pink-themed rooms that all have a queen-sized bed, a pull-out, and a double deck. These can fit a total of six people, making it a good spot for big groups and families who are looking for a holiday getaway.

Rates for the Beach Pass, which includes a whole day access to Mactan Beach and Pink Bali Lounge, start at P699. Reserving a daybed costs P1,500, which is inclusive of snacks and access to the swimming pool. Play Passes for Inflatable Island range from P299 (one hour) to P1,299 (whole day). Room rates start at P8,000.
The Happy Beach is in Mactan, Cebu near Angasil Port. For more information, visit Happy Beach's website.
