(SPOT.ph) The Philippines has more than 7,000 islands—though we're not sure how many they actually are right now considering you-know-what. Still, having thousands of land masses with beaches in different colors (yes, we have pink ones!), waterfalls, and even cave systems beats a roundtrip ticket to a landlocked country any day. According to data from online travel booking platform Agoda, domestic travel around the Philippines was still more popular among Filipinos compared to visiting Japan and Hong Kong, at least from January to November 2018
Meanwhile, Manila, Cebu, and Palawan clinched a podium finish for the top 10 cities visited by Pinoys. These three destinations beat international hotspots Hong Kong (fourth place), Singapore (ninth place), and Tokyo (10th place). Baguio (fifth place), Bohol (sixth place), Davao (seventh place), and Tagaytay (eighth place) are the other local cities that made it to the list.
So, if you still haven't gone to some of the trendiest places in 2018, now you know which ones to tick off your list in 2019.
