(SPOT.ph) Tokyo Midtown in Japan is every shopper's dream come true. It houses the most extensive collection of designer brands, including the luxury cosmetic shop Isetan Mirror, Italian shoe shop Pellico, and organic fabric specialized store Tenerita. But every Christmas season, this urban complex turns into a lit-up winter wonderland with an outdoor ice rink dubbed as Tokyo Midtown Illumination, which runs until December 25. The best thing about it? It's for free!

The Christmas attraction features the "Starlight Garden," where the 2,000-square-meter park behind Tokyo Midtown is blanketed with almost 200,000 LEDs and light balloons. This makes it look like you're out in space and amid clusters of stars.
This year's highlight is the "Bubbles Illuminations," which runs until December 16. Soap bubbles are released into the air to depict the life cycle of stars, making the concept of the "Starlight Garden" come full circle.
Tokyo Midtown Illuminations runs until December 25 at Akasaka, Tokyo, Japan. For more information, visit Tokyo Midtown's website.
