Make This New Serviced Apartment Your Base for Your Next Makati Food Crawl
It's surrounded by great food choices!

(SPOT.ph) If you're a big fan of multitasking, love food and quick city getaways (yes, we're also describing ourselves), the recently opened The Sphere Serviced Residences might just be what you're looking for. It's located within Salcedo Village, where the streets are studded with restaurants that can satisfy any craving, whether it's brunch food, wine and cheese, ramen, or even something as random as a bubble waffle.

Managed by Hospitality Innovators, Incorporated—the same folks behind Azumi Boutique Hotel, Hue Hotels & Resorts, and The Cirque Serviced Residences, to name a few—The Sphere Serviced Residences occupies the 21st to 26th floors of The Stratosphere Building along Valero Street, and if you’re familiar with the area, you’d know that apart from being right smack in the middle of the business district, it's a really great place to have a gastronomic adventure.

There are 120 rooms in four different sizes: a Studio Room, One-Bedroom Suite, One-Bedroom Executive Suite, and Two-Bedroom Suite, and each room boasts lots of space. “All rooms are equipped with complete facilities and amenities to suit the needs of all types of travelers, [including] complimentary WiFi, a minibar, laundry service, and room service among others,” shares Alex Yatco, operations manager of Hospitality Innovators, Incorporated (HII). If you're the type who likes to whip up your own meals during a staycation, you'll be glad to know that their rooms have a fully equipped kitchen. But if you're a lot like us, you'll probably spend your time hopping from one restaurant to another.

The rooms all have a clean, industrial-chic design that feels pretty cozy. Plus, the rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows that give you a beautiful view of the city’s skyline—and maybe even the sunset, if you get a room facing west. We won’t blame you if you end up just bundled up in their crisp white sheets throughout your stay—but we don't think you'd be able to resist going on a food trip considering all the restaurants that are just a stone's throw away. Some nearby places worth checking out: Mendokoro Ramenba for your ramen cravings, La Petite Parisienne for wine and cheese night, Apartment 1B for hearty meals, and Salcedo Saturday Market at the Jaime C. Velasquez Park.
You might be wondering if The Sphere offers breakfast because admit it: The best part about staycations is waking up for an indulgent breakfast the next day. You’ll be glad to know that The Sphere has partnered with Little Flour, which is located on the ground floor of the same building, so guests can have complimentary breakfast throughout their stay. Little Flour has curated a special menu for guests with options like The Sphere Breakfast, Seasonal Fruit Bowl, Granola and Yogurt, Brioche French Toast, French Omelet, Sisig Rice Bowl, Pork Adobo, and more.

You’ll also find a Starbucks Reserve on the same floor so you can have a cup of joe whenever you want. Prone to late-night hunger pangs? Grab some bubble waffles at Hong Kong’s Datong Ice House—also located on the same floor. Soon, The Sphere will also have its own food and beverage outlet located at the pool area on the ninth floor.

When you get back from your food trip, you might want to check out the indoor pool located on the ninth floor of the building...or maybe even burn some calories at their fitness center.

Next time you want to escape the busy city life without having to go too far away and go on a food adventure at the same time, The Sphere Serviced Residences might just be the perfect place to do it.
The Sphere Serviced Residences is at 136 Valero Street, Salcedo Village, Makati City. For more information, log on to The Sphere's Facebook page or contact 635-7288.
