This Summer Guesthouse in Antipolo Is So #Aesthetic

And it's just an hour away from Manila!

(SPOT.ph) Despite being close to Metro Manila, Antipolo in Rizal Province has been able to keep its countryside charm: rolling hills, pocket forests and gardens, and cabins that whisk you away from the reality of city life. Timmy in the Woods, a "tropical modernist" villa, is one of these tempting accommodations that are always worth the drive to the east. It opened to the public in January 2018, and has since become a crowd favorite for photo shoots, weddings and debuts, and weekend getaways.

"Our private villa is very close to the city. However, once you step in our place, you will be welcomed by the beauty of nature, chirping birds, and roaming squirrels. If you’re lucky, you’ll also see free-roaming peacocks strutting their colors on our poolside," owner Timothy de Dios tells SPOT.ph.

Originally a family rest house, Timmy in the Woods features "natural elements of plants, bricks, and woods with the sophistication of black and gray color." Machuca tiles were also added for accent on the floors, walkways, and walls. The two-floor villa has an air-conditioned room with a queen-sized bed, a bunk room with three double decks, a living room with sofa beds, and a work station for when you can’t leave your deadlines behind. According to the listing on Facebook, their kitchen is equipped with basic cookware and utensils for 15 to 20 people. Outside, you can take a dip in the 14-meter infinity pool, lounge around the garden area, or enjoy some drinks on the veranda on your free time.

"Our house was designed with love by our whole family. Each one of us was very much involved during the construction and designing of our place. Each area was well-curated to our liking," adds De Dios about their humble abode. A multimedia arts graduate, he works as a graphic artist so it doesn't come as a surprise that design is top priority at Timmy in the Woods.

If you're looking to spend a relaxing weekend (and put it on your Instagram feed), this tropical villa might just be what you're looking for.

Timmy in the Woods is at 3 Mount Everest Avenue, Goldenhills Subdivision, Antipolo, Rizal. For more information, follow Timmy in the Woods on Facebook.
