(SPOT.ph) Japan has become a popular travel destination among Filipinos for many and different reasons: the culture, food, weather, and even the people who are known to be among the most disciplined citizens in Asia. But what’s the best way to explore a country? Knowing some local words to help you navigate the place. Jellyfish Education Philippines, in partnership with Quezon City Public Library, is offering a class dedicated to teaching basic Japanese language today, November 11 at 5 p.m. in Quezon City. The best part? It's free!

Jellyfish Education Philippines (JEP), according to their website, provides and promotes educational services to those who want to study and live in Japan. Part of their program is the two-hour class on basic Japanese being offered to 15 registrants for free. JEP has also organized events and seminars that promote the Japanese culture.

Traveling to a foreign country, even for leisure, is always a great opportunity to learn something new and broaden one’s horizon. It is through learning the language that you can easily immerse yourself in whatever the place has to offer. Just by learning useful words, you might just be able to go around without a tourist guide to help you visit new places or the difficulty that comes with having to navigate unfamiliar spots in a foreign language!
JEP's Basic Japanese Class is on November 11, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Quezon City Hall Compound, Barangay Central, Quezon City. Pre-registration is required.
