This Artsy Hotel's Christmas Display Is Made of Recycled Materials
Look at the shiny reindeers!
(SPOT.ph) It's not rare to see works of art in hotel lobbies, but Crimson Hotel in Filinvest City takes this to a whole new level by calling its eighth floor reception The Gallery. Installation pieces are scattered across tropical-themed seating areas, while pop-up exhibitions, such as the annual South Arts Festival, are frequently hosted. This Yuletide season, Crimson Hotel adds yet another Filipino-made work of art to its display: creative Christmas installations by upcycling artist Jevie Pagpaguitan.
The sculptures, which look like reindeers, Christmas balls, and boxed gifts, were made from used plastic, paper, metal, and wood. They were unveiled during Crimson's Christmas tree lighting ceremony on November 7. Students from OB Montessori Center Primary and Intermediate Angels’ Choir and members of Acts Manila Ballet also performed during the event.
Crimson Hotel also prepared staycation packages perfect for the festive season, such as "Home for the Holidaze" (P6,200), which includes an overnight stay in their Deluxe Room, a buffet breakfast for two persons, a special welcome treat, a Christmas-themed room setup, and shopping credits for kids at the Christmas Goodies Corner. Stay dates are until January 5, 2020.
There's also the "Christmas Eve Room Package" (P10,388), which includes a Christmas Eve Dinner Buffet at Café Eight for two on top of the treats for "Home for the Holidaze." Check-in date can either be on December 23 or December 24.
