(SPOT.ph) While our mountains up north are blanketed in fog over the chilly holidays, the southern part of the country is covered with fields of colorful flowers starting in October. And by January, most of them are already in full bloom—as if greeting the new year in the most vibrant way possible. Celerios M. Farm in South Cotabato has hectares of celosia flowers, which are known for their bright yellow, pink, and orange colors. Anyone can check out this kaleidoscopic attraction for only P30.

The celosia, which is also known as woolflowers or cockscombs, features flame-like flower heads that bloom once a year. It grows in the wet season and easily cultivated in humid areas.
Nearby, a field of pink, yellow, and orange chrysanthemums is also open for public viewing. Eden’s Flowers Farm, which is also in Tupi, opened in October.
Celorios M. Farm is in Purok 10, Poblacion, Tupi, South Cotabato. Entrance for adults is at P30 while the fee for children is at P10. For more information, follow Celosia Flower Farm on Facebook.
