(SPOT.ph) Batanes, with its sprawling grasslands and amazing geographic formations, continues to be a bucket list item for most travelers. But it's not easy to get there: Philippine Airlines via PAL Express offers only four flights a week, Cebu Pacific only has one flight a day, and SkyJet and AirSwift can be pretty steep with the prices. So this piece of news sounds like a sweet deal: SkyJet Airlines is holding a weekend sale for air fares from Manila to Batanes, Coron, and Camiguin.
One-way base fare starts at P1,288. Booking period is from January 10 to 12, while travel period is from January 15 to October 24.

Skyjet Airlines operates 80-seater aircrafts that specialize in take-off and landing in small island airports and short runways. It cuts travel time from Manila to Batanes to just 70 minutes, while flights to Boracay and Coron take only 35 minutes. The boutique airline also offers shorter travel time to the island of Siargao (100 minutes).
