(SPOT.ph) The Battle of Manila was one of the moments in our history that greatly shaped who we are as a nation. To look back at this tragic past and its heroes, Wander Manila presents Stories from the War: Online Livestream Tour on February 28, 8 p.m. Streaming is for free through WanderManila's Facebook page.

From February 3 to March 3, 1945, American forces and Filipino guerilla soldiers fought for sovereignty against Japanese colonizers. Manila was officially liberated after a month-long battle, but the aftermath was devastating: tens of thousands of lives were lost, the whole city was almost razed to the ground, and countless buildings (most of which are cultural and historical treasures) were left in ruins. The Online Livestream Tour is set to narrate these stories from the war that "wiped out in a hail of fire and blood" up to "400 years of history, culture, and art," according to Wander Manila.
