Ilocos Norte Drops Test Requirement for Fully Vaccinated Travelers
It's effective on December 1.
(SPOT.ph) Ilocos Norte has a little bit of everything for any type of traveler. Heritage lovers can bask in the stories of the Spanish-colonial Cape Bojeador Lighthouse and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Saint Augustine Church (a.k.a. Paoay Church). Adventurers can ride a 4x4 across the La Paz Sand Dunes or walk around the Kapurpurawan Rock Formation, while beach lovers can go surfing in Pagudpud or take a dip in the Boracay-esque Blue Lagoon. And traveling to this province in northern Luzon is now easier than ever as they drop the COVID-19 test requirement for fully vaccinated travelers coming from areas under Alert Levels 1, 2, and 3 starting December 1.
Non-vaccinated and partially vaccinated individuals as well as travelers coming from Alert Level 4 are required to present either a negative RT-PCR test result taken within 72 hours or an antigen test taken within 24 hours. They also have the option of taking the antigen test upon arrival in Ilocos Norte.
Here are the latest Ilocos Norte travel requirements (effective December 1):
- Vaccination card
- Ilocos Norte registration (ilocosnorte.ph)
- Government-issued ID
- Confirmed booking from Department of Tourism-accredited accommodation or travel agency
