Baler Drops Test Requirement for Fully Vaccinated Travelers

Dipaculao is also now open to travelers.

(SPOT.ph) Baler in Aurora, touted as the "Birthplace of Philippine Surfing," reopened their beaches to local travelers on November 10. Back then, the list of travel requirements included negative RT-PCR test results taken within 72 hours. But following Aurora's shift to Alert Level 2 on November 16, fully vaccinated travelers can just use their proof of vaccination in lieu of the COVID-19 test requirement. Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated individuals still need to negative RT-PCR test results taken within 72 hours.

Aside from Baler, the municipalities of Dipaculao, Dilasag, Dingalan, and Dinalungan are now open to tourism.

Here's an updated list of Baler travel requirements (as of November 22):

  • S-PaSS registration
  • Valid I.D.
  • Vaccination certificate from VaxCert.doh.gov.ph
  • Confirmed hotel booking

The vaccination certificate needs to be uploaded on the S-PaSS registration page, specifically the space for RT-PCR test results. The hotel booking and roundtrip should be uploaded as one document (.doc or .pdf) file through the "Other documents" tab.
