ICYMI: Romblon Is Now Open to Fully Vaccinated Travelers
Just make sure you have all the requirements.
(SPOT.ph) When you think of Philippine beach destinations, what usually come to mind are the islands of Boracay, El Nido, Coron, and Mindoro. But somewhere between these places is the small archipelagic province of Romblon, which is considered a hidden gem that boasts white-sand beaches, dive sites, cave systems, and the most interesting rock formations. It is also home to the country's only known blue hole, which is a large marine cave surrounded by limestones or coral reefs. Places like these are so rare and diverse that they're considered a diver's mecca. If you're convinced to visit this under-the-radar destination, you'll be glad to know that Romblon has reopened to fully vaccinated tourists with an updated set of travel requirements, according to the Department of Tourism.
Here's a list of Romblon travel requirements (as of February 15):
- Negative antigen test result valid within 24 hours
- Notice of Coordination or Acceptance from the LGU of destination
- Vaccination card
- Approved S-Pass Travel Coordination Permit
