(SPOT.ph) Spend the afternoon this coming Saturday with a whole lot of radical love, acceptance, and great conversations in a safe space surrounded by fellow members of the LGBTQIA+, allies, friends, family, and even your cute furbabies. Sound too good to be true? Mark your calendars for "Atin Ang Kulayaan: Pride Picnic" happening at Rizal Park Manila’s Open Air Auditorium on June 18 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Hosted by Metro Manila Pride, the picnic comes before the Pride March and Festival on June 25 in Pasay City. You can freely and openly celebrate and speak your truth, all while enjoying the fresh open air while watching films, listening to panel discussions, and community learnings with food and drinks (for you and also to share!). And no worries as you'll be chilling on your socially-distanced mats with your masks on (‘cause there’s still Covid, sadly)—all for free. Just note that you should pre-register for the event first before prepping what you need for the love-filled afternoon. You'll definitely bring home more than what you came in with, though, so save some carrying room for that.

ICYDK: There's also an ongoing Pelikulaya LGBTQIA+ Film Festival happening online and at Cinema '76 Film Society Anonas and Cinematheque Centres nationwide until June 26. LGBTQIA+-themed titles such as Lingua Franca, Women Do Cry, and Portrait of a Lady on Fire, among others are screening if you're into just sitting down and watching films indoors.Â
