(SPOT.ph) While Boracay has been a go-to destination for a while now, it never fails to surprise local and foreign travelers as it always offers something new, whether a hip hotel or a must-visit restaurant. A new spot on the island has a bit of both: a boutique hotel with clean and minimalist aesthetics; and not just one but three dining options. Husband-and-wife team Nowie and Odette Potenciano, best known for Spicebird, Coco Mama, and Sunny Side Cafe, are opening Seaworthy Boracay in Station 1 on July 8. The boutique hotel is already accepting bookings through its website.

Seaworthy Boracay is the Potencianos' first venture into the hotel business; and given the success of their F&B outlets, this new endeavor may just be the next go-to place to stay in Boracay. It features seven rooms along the beach with five types: Seaview King with Balcony (P9,000), which is at 35 square meters; Deluxe King with Balcony (P6,750); Deluxe King (P5,250); Single with Balcony (P4,500); and Single Room (P3,750), which is at 12 square meters. All rooms have the standard amenities: TV with cable, WiFi access, mini-fridge, air-conditioning, and 300-thread count linens. But the big bonus is that breakfast is from Boracay's famous Sunny Side Cafe or the new Percy Restaurant. Guests also have access to the Sunset Lounge, which serves afternoon tea; and an outpost of the famous vegan-friendly coconut ice cream Coco Mama.
