(SPOT.ph) As COVID-19 restrictions ease, more and more people are heading out to bask in the sun (or in the rain, especially in this humid weather), stretch their legs, and get movin'. Bridgetowne, a township by Robinsons Land Corporation in Quezon City, is looking to become the Metro's go-to destination for sports as its hosts two international obstacle sports events in August. World Obstacle's Ninja World Cup No. 1 and International Modern Pentathlon Union's New Fifth Discipline Test Event (Obstacle Discipline) are happening at the Bridgetowne Central Park on August 6 and 7. This is a buildup to their soon-to-open Bridgetowne Obstacle Park, a 6,000-square-meter park with 25 obstacles.

International Obstacle Sports Games Happening in Bridgetowne
The Ninja World Cup, which starts with a Philippine leg before heading to the United States, is a speed event that's all about conquering 12 obstacles in a 100-meter linear course. The New Fifth Discipline Test Event, on the other hand, is one of the five sports events of the modern pentathlon. This includes fencing, swimming, laser pistol shooting, running, and the last—obstacle discipline—is happening at Bridgetowne.
"With Bridgetowne’s proposition of being a destination that ignites the winning spirit and bridges powerful and meaningful connections that let you win at work and in life, there is no better place to do the Ninja World Cup and the biggest obstacle sports park but here,” says Loise Albert Montes, Senior Development Director for Bridgetowne, in a statement.
Soon-to-Open Bridgetowne Obstacle Sports Park
Bridgetown Obstacle Park is set to open in September. To be operated by the Pilipinas Obstacle Sports Federation, it is said to be the biggest permanent obstacle facility of its kind in the world. It will accommodate training sessions and obstacle course races organized and managed by certified coaches and national and elite athletes.
“Bridgetowne’s expansive spaces and roads make it conducive to outdoor sports such as Obstacle Course Races—there is plenty of space to set up the obstacles, biking, running, and more, making it a great and safe place for families, young and old alike if they’re looking for active fun, sports, and adventure,” Montes adds.
World Obstacle's Ninja World Cup No. 1 and International Modern Pentathlon Union's New Fifth Discipline Test Event (Obstacle Discipline) are on August 6 and 7 at Bridgetowne Central Park, Bridgetowne Destination Estate, E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue, Quezon City.
