(SPOT.ph) Roller skating has seen a resurgence ever since the pandemic hit. Many people have gotten into the hobby and have been showing off their skills on social media by skating on the streets, rinks, or whatever surface they could glide on. Aside from the usual jumps and skims, skaters have taken to adding dancing and grooving to music while on their wheels, especially onTikTok. Well, here's your chance to take the experience offline. In an exciting turn of events, Makati City is having Skate Date: Flashback Fever on September 24.

Here's your chance to go on a skate date in Makati.
For a minimal entrance fee of P50, Skate Date: Flashback Fever is an event for skaters of all ages and levels to glide and ride along an empty Paseo de Roxas Avenue from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Adding an additional level of fun to the mix, this nostalgic Skate Date is having community jam sessions that'll have skaters grooving to beats from the '90s, while showcasing their skate-dancing skills. Attendees are also encouraged to come in their best '90s get-up as the best-dressed skater stands a chance to win a pair of pink skates from Rollyo Sk8 Shop.
Don't have roller skates? Don't worry. Skate rentals will be available by The Booth, and Squad Skates have got you! Aside from that, those looking for new gear can also browse for new skate essentials during the event.
