(SPOT.ph) You may have seen those footage going viral on social media: the camera of a micro drone going through windows, under a low bar, and just about any hole that's big enough for it to pass through. If you wish to practice your micro-drone flying skills, Robinsons Galleria in Quezon City opened the first indoor micro-drone racing track on November 12. It is open on the fourth floor of the mall every Thursday, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.; and every Saturday and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The Micro Drone Race Park comes after the successful launch of the Galleria RC Tracks and Galleria Obstacle Zone, which are the newest facilities within the Quezon City mall. Hobbyists can use the Micro Drone Race Park for free, as long as they're seven years old and above and if they have their own micro drone. The device should be within the allowed size of 65 mm to 75 mm frame, have one-cell or two-cell batteries only, should have propeller guards, and has a maximum weight of 30 grams.
But if you still need to test out one before buying your own, you can use a micro drone for free for 15 minutes by getting a voucher through the RMalls+ app.
Made possible in partnership with Tiny Whoop Philippines, the Micro Drone Race Park hopes to be the home of tiny-drone owners and flyers in the Metro.
The Micro Drone Race Park is at 4/F Robinsons Galleria, Quezon City. It is open every Thursday, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.; and every Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. For updates, follow Robinsons Galleria on Facebook.
