Get up close and personal with Nigel Barker at his Models of Influence Book Signing Events on May 31, 5 p.m., at SM Aura and June 1, 5 p.m., at the Mega Fashion Hall. Models of Influence is a collection of 50 stories about the most influential women from the 1940s to the present day who reset the course of fashion. The book reveals each model’s indelible place in the pantheons of fashion and pop culture, featuring more than 100 full-color and black-and-white images from the archives of the world’s top fashion photographers.

Fourteen videos from the best students of contemporary art in Germany will be showcased in Manila from May 29 to July 3 at the Looking at the Big Sky exhibition in 1335MABINI. Opening the exhibition is none other than digital media art expert Dr. Renate Buschmann, director of the Inter Media Art Institute in Düsseldorf, and curator of the video exhibition. The title Looking at the Big Sky evokes a variety of different associations: vastness of thoughts, freedom, openness, and unlimited possibilities. Dr. Buschmann will also hold a free workshop with the theme “The Challenge of Preserving and Presenting Media Art” on May 30, 2 p.m., at the same venue.
