Get wet and wild as Singin' in The Rain hits the stage on August 20, 8 p.m., at The Theater at Solaire. Based on the 1952 smash hit film starring the infallible Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds, Singin' in The Rain is the golden aged story told live onstage, in all its rainy glory! The show is set in the late '20s at a pivotal time for film where movie stars Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont find they need to change their performance style to survive in the industry. Enlisting the help of chorus girl, Kathy Selden and funny guy, Cosmo Brown, Don manages to form a creative trio not to be reckoned with. The production runs through September 6. Ticket prices range from P1,500 to P6,000.

Don't miss Globe-to-Globe's take on William Shakespeare's Hamletset to take the stage for one day only on August 23, 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., at the CCP Little Theater. The Globe-to-Globe Hamlet tour started in April last year to commemorate Shakespeare’s 450th birthday. It aims to stage Hamlet in all countries during its two-year run. It was created with the aim of performing Hamlet to as many people as possible, in a diverse range of places. The team behind the tour believes that Shakespeare can entertain and speak to every nationality and that everyone will benefit from watching his works. Tickets are priced at P1,545, P2,060, and P2,575.

Ballet Manila opens its 20th season with Severino ReyesTatlong Kuwento ni Lola Basyang on August 21, 8 p.m. Part of the group's Filipino Series, the production tells three enchanting tales of love, fantasy, and adventure from one of the most beloved Filipino storytellers. Ang Prinsipe ng mga Ibon is a captivating piece about a princess who wishes to marry her beloved bird despite her father's disapproval. Ang Kapatid ng Tatlong Marya tells the story of a young hero's search for his bewitched sisters that takes him to fantastic, action-filled worlds. Ang Mahiwagang Biyulin is a tale of a magical violin that mends the unkind ways of a rich man. The production runs for two weekends until August 30. Tickets are priced at P1,500, P1,000, and P500.
