Ballet Manila continues its season with Romeo & Juliet from October 2 to 4 at the Aliw Theater. This is Ballet Manila's take after Paul Vasterling's choreography of one of classical ballet’s most popular pieces and the greatest love story ever told. This version is loosely based on the modern influences of The West Side Story and Franco Zeffirelli’s famous movie adaptation of Romeo & Juliet. This version of the timeless story of young, tragic love is sure to enthrall with its highly physical choreography, action-packed fight scenes, and theatrical nuances. Catch the rerun of Larry Kramer's The Normal Heart from October 2 to 11 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in RCBC Plaza. The play is set during the period when a deadly epidemic was killing North America’s gay population, devastating an entire generation, and changing the way we think about sex forever. The story is told through the eyes of writer and activist Ned Weeks, the openly gay founder of a prominent HIV advocacy group.
