As a fitting follow-up to its much-acclaimed musical adaptation of C. S. Lewis' The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, Trumpets presents The Horse and His Boy. Opening on November 6 and running through November 22 at the Meralco Theater, it tells the tale of an orphan boy, Shasta, and a talking horse, Bree, as they journey towards freedom from oppression and slavery. They fly from a foreign land to Narnia, the place the horse calls home, and where the boy hopes to find who he is and where he truly belongs. Performatura Festival, the three-day event organized by the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), features 10 pocket events for various contemporary art forms, in addition to the indigenous and traditional art events. Running from November 6 to 8, this festival celebrates how previous and current texts, and the artists, then and now, relate socially in space and time.

Catch the Tokyo-Manila Jazz-Art Festival 2015 on November 7, 7:30 p.m., at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in RCBC Plaza. The festival showcases an international camaraderie, along with raising the promotion of musicality—jazz, in particular. Artists and musicians from the Philippines, U.S., and all over Japan have been invited to gather and share the Tokyo stage. Tickets are priced at P3,657, P2,612, and P1,045.
