Fringe Manila 2016Manila's arts festival, comes back to the stage from February 10 to 28 at various locations in Manila. Fringe Manila is an open-access, non-curated, uncensored arts and community festival that aims to showcase fresh, daring, and groundbreaking material. The festival highlights the unique point of view of emerging and established artists from the Philippines and all over the world in theater, literature, music, dance, visual art, film, cabaret, performance art, circus, and every other artistic genre in between. Included in this year's line-up are Queerception, Karitas at Damaso, The Art of Murderand more.

Boy meets girl. Or girl meets boy. She smiles, he hesitates. Or she smiles, he smiles back. In a multiverse, the different possibilities of a first encounter send one relationship into a myriad trajectories. In a fugue of vignettes that ensue, a different word, a different look, a different choice will change the landscape of their destiny. Catch Cris Villonco and JC Santos in Red Turnip's Constellationsan unusual love story where science and romance collide. No plans yet for Valentine's Day? Here's an idea: a cooking class! Eat My Love is a cooking workshop by Romain Rivierre happening on February 13, 6 p.m., at the A SPACE_KITCHEN. Learn how to whip up a dish or two, and cook it just in time for your date! On the menu are Velouté de Cupidon, Boeuf Bourguignon d'Amour with Foie Gras Potatoes, and Torride "Vie Parisienne." Registration is priced at P2,500 (P2,700 with dessert).

Ballet Philippines presents a moving tableaux and performance based on the acclaimed installation, Opera. In his work, Gabriel Barredo views the body itself and confronts its mortality. His themes of decay and transformation are expanded in this dance adaptation, choreographed by guest French dancemaker Redha Benteifour and Alden Lugnasin from a libretto by Erwin Romulo and Yvette Tan, and featuring original music by Malek Lopez. Opera: A Rebirth in Arabesque serves as Ballet Philippines’ fundraising event for the season. Catch it on February 13, 14, and 16 at the CCP Main Theater. Tickets range from P412 to P1,545.
