For one weekend only, The Normal Heart returns  to the stage! Catch it from August 12 to 14 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium at the RCBC Plaza. The production, which is the 2011 Tony Award Winner for Best Revival of a Play, follows the story of the early rise of the HIV-AIDS crisis in New York City in the early 1980s. Tickets are priced at P1,567, P1,045, and P522.

Meet and greet the men who brought the artist’s Juvenal Sansó’s stage and costume designs to life in the ongoing exhibition, Sansó: Setting the Stage. On August 12, 3 p.m., discover, over coffee, how they were inspired by the great modernist at the Ayala Museum. The exhibit puts together Sansó’s paintings and studies for the opera and stage. Passes are priced at P850, inclusive of a complimentary cup of coffee or tea, one-day free admission to Ayala Museum, and one-day free access to Filipinas Heritage Library. Revisit your favorite childhood story in Repertory Philippines' Hansel and Gretel, opening on August 13 at the OnStage Theatre. Running until October 30, the production is an adaptation of the opera that's re-written by Joy Virata for the Children’s Theatre. The beloved story follows two hungry children who are are sent to the woods by their mother to find strawberries. They are lured into a gingerbread house owned by a wicked witch who throws children into her oven and turns them into gingerbread. Find out how Hansel and Gretel outsmart the witch in the end. Tickets are priced at P627, P522, and P418.

An indulgent treat awaits everyone as Wine Story Academy introduces the art of food and wine pairing. On August 13, 6 p.m., the session focuses on the classic pairing of wine and cheese. Learn how distinct flavors and textures match beautifully with specific varieties of wine. The class fee of P2,500 includes food and fine wine for tasting, class materials, and a certificate of attendance. Slots are limited to ensure a quality experience.

Meet and greet the Filipino art team behind DC Comics’ new Deathstroke series, penciller Carlo Pagulayan and inker Michael Jason Paz, on August 13, 1 p.m., at Filbar’s UP Town Center. The two talented artists are tasked to bring in dynamic interior pages for the infamous mercenary Deathstroke, a classic comic book character that has also appeared in the kid-friendly animated adaptation of Teen Titans and the action-packed CW TV series, Arrow. Catch them as they sign copies of Deathstroke: Rebirth one-shot.
