(SPOT.ph) Classical music isn't everyone's cup of tea. For most people, orchestras bring them to sleep, and the only time they'll listen to string quartets is during weddings. But what if a talented ensemble turns your favorite video games and anime soundtracks into cool instrumental versions? Ayala Museum combines gaming and music through an upcoming edition of their Rush Hour Concert series: Video Game Symphonic on May 9 at 6:30 p.m.

In the past, the Rush Hour Concert featured symphonic covers of songs from the Beatles and Queen; movie soundtracks; Broadway musicals; and OPM classics. On May 9, Manila Symphony Orchestra is making classical music relatable through their own rendition of songs from Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, and more. Not too bad if you're just waiting for rush hour to pass.
Rush Hour Concert: Video Game Symphonic is on May 9, 6:30 p.m. at the Ayala Museum, Makati Avenue corner De La Rosa Street, Greenbelt Park, Makati City. Tickets, priced at P700, are available at the Ayala Museum ticket counter and through Ticketworld.
