The Phantom of the Opera Is Streaming Again for Free
For a limited time only!
(SPOT.ph) We may be half a year into quarantine, but—as they say—"the show must go on." Virtual dance parties, online gigs, and streaming of plays and musicals have been keeping us sane; and next up is the return of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall on YouTube on October 9, 7 p.m. (U.K. Time) or October 10, 2 a.m. (Manila Time). It will be available online for 48 hours. The show was first streamed through the The Shows Must Go On! YouTube channel in April.
Filmed in 2011 at the Royal Albert Hall, this edition of The Phantom of the Opera was produced in celebration of the musical's 25th anniversary. It took three days to put the show together in one of London's most treasured halls. It starred Ramin Karimloo as The Phantom and Sierra Boggess as Christine Daaé.
