Gateway Gallery is the art museum of Araneta City. The Boston Art Gallery is one of the oldest galleries in the country. Started in 1993, this gallery was a response to the need for a space for young, emerging contemporary Filipino artists in the aftermath of the 1986 EDSA Revolution. Boston Art Gallery was founded by Dr. Joven Cuanang, a neurologist and patron of the arts. You may know his name as he is also the collector and owner of the Antipolo Pinto Art Museum. Today, the Gallery continues its mission of hosting emerging artists, oftentimes fresh from the art schools, and nurtures them by providing them a platform to showcase their work through the years.

Widely recognized today as the first museum of modern Philippine art, the Ateneo Art Gallery was established in 1960 through Fernando Zóbel’s bequest to the Ateneo of his collection of works by key Filipino post-war artists. Through the years, other philanthropists and artists followed Zobel’s initiative, filling in the gaps so that the collection now surveys every Philippine art movement in the post-war era.

Now in its new home in the Arts Wing of Areté, the Ateneo Art Gallery has expanded the scope of its exhibition programs to feature more of its permanent collection at the upper-ground and second-floor galleries, presented in different thematic contexts. At the same time, its third floor is more of a space for contemporary and experimental art projects. Artists represented in the Ateneo Gallery's vast collection include Fernando Zóbel, Vicente Manansala, BenCab, Egai Fernandez, Kiri Dalena, among many others.

Blanc Gallery

Blanc, a metaphorical blank canvas from which great art begins, was founded in 2006. It consolidated its three galleries into a single location in Quezon City in 2013. This expanded space supports contemporary art in all its forms. It has given Filipino artists, both emerging and established, a place to experiment and develop their practice by being open to artwork and exhibits of all kinds—paintings, sculptures, sound, and video installations have all found a home at Blanc.

This humble but impactful gallery along Quezon City's West Avenue is the definition of "size doesn't matter". Despite its seemingly small space, the West Gallery is able to host three up to four exhibitions at a time. The Jorge B. Vargas Museum and Filipiniana Research Center is one of the nine museums and galleries on the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman campus. The institution is home to the collections of art, books, archives, memorabilia, coins, and stamps of Jorge B. Vargas, a significant political figure in the twentieth-century Philippines and alumnus of UP. The museum has galleries for permanent exhibitions as well as temporary exhibitions, which are also spaces for educational events such as workshops, lectures, symposia, walkthroughs, and talks by artists and curators.

Kaida Contemporary has been a springboard for the hottest emerging and established Filipino contemporary artists since 2006. This gallery is about supporting painters, sculptors, and other media artists, giving them a platform to collaborate, explore, and define what it means to be contemporary.  As an example of what it means to Kaida to be contemporary, they hosted Maria Jeona Zoleta's Hypno Dream Babe filled with candy-colored canvasses, Paolo Germar's weird but interesting Pay per Doll, and Cian Dayrit's disturbing but unique Popular Exotica.  When it comes to showcasing art, they like to keep things simple yet impactful. Their exhibition space is compact, fuss-free, and wide open, ensuring that the artist's work takes centerstage.
