(SPOT.ph) Every October, art and history enthusiasts are blessed with free entrance, promos, and special offers from their favorite museums and galleries. Dubbed Museum and Galleries Month, the tenth month of the year is the best time to go museum hopping, as most galleries—including privately owned collections—open their doors to the public sans the need to pay any admission fees. Case in point, this upcoming long weekend, you may want to add the Yuchengco Museum in Makati to your plans as it's having a four-day free entrance promo just in time to close the month.

Add the Yuchengco Museum to your long weekend plans:
The Yuchengco Museum is opening its doors to the general public for free on October 28 to 31, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. That's right, folks. Entrance fees to the museum are waived for the last four days of October, so you can add museum hopping to your list of activities for that long weekend holiday.
Reservations are no longer required to enter the museum, so you can be as spontaneous as you want about this activity. There's also no strict dress code for the museum. Be as casual or as dressed to the nines as you want.
Already have undas plans and can't make it on October 28 to 31? Don't worry! The Yuchengco Museum is also open on other Mondays to Saturdays, with entrance fees, of course.
Here are the regular rates to visit the Yuchengco Museum:
- Adults: P200
- Students, PWDs, Senior Citizens: P100 (please show a valid ID as proof)
The Yuchengco Museum initially opened its doors to the public in September 2005. Its aims foster a greater public appreciation of art by housing the finest international as well as local, cultural, historical, and design exhibits and programs. The museum was initially built as the home of the art collection of Ambassador Alfonso T. Yuchengco, which he has collected throughout his career as a statesman, philanthropist, and patron of the arts but has since grown to include other galleries and traveling exhibits.
The Yuchengco Museum is at RCBC Plaza, Ayala corner Sen. Gil J. Puyat Avenues, Makati City. It is open from Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, visit Yuchengco Museum's website.
