Do You Hear The People Sing? Concert Back in Manila For 2024

(SPOT.ph) Did you miss Miss Saigon's Manila run? Are you longing to sing the oh-so-dramatic and tragic "I Dreamed a Dream" alongside Les Miserables' Fantine? Well, if your answer is yes to any of these questions, you'll want to catch Do You Hear the People Sing?, a live concert featuring songs from musicals such as Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, and many more.

Here's what you need to know about the Do You Hear the People Sing? concert in Manila :
On August 2 and 3, Newport Performing Arts Theater will present Do Your Hear the People Sing? for two nights. The show celebrates the legacy of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, the duo behind some of the theater world's most adored musicals of all time, among them Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Martin Guerre, The Pirate Queen, and many more.
An all-star lineup of local and foreign musical theater performers, a full orchestra, and a chorus will be the stars of the show, performing some of the most beloved songs from the Tony Award-winning duo including music never before heard by audiences.
This isn't the first time the concert will be held in Manila. Back in 2014, the show was staged here for the first time as a fundraising event for Habitat for Humanity, which then aimed to build homes for survivors of Typhoon Yolanda. The artists in that show all performed gratis.
Meet the performers for the Do You Hear the People Sing? Concert in Manila:
Headlining the Manila shows is the Australian stage's newest leading lady, Abigail Adriano, who is currently appearing as Kim on Miss Saigon's international tour. Alongside Adriano are Nigel Huckle, an award-winning Australian-American performer currently starring as Chris in Miss Saigon; Bradley Jaden, Les Misérables – The Arena Spectacular's Javert; and Amy Manford, an Australian-American soprano most known for her role as Christine Daaé in the 2022 Australian production of The Phantom of the Opera.
These performers will also be joined by local talents such as Joreen Bautista, Mikkie Bradshaw-Volante, David Ezra, Arman Ferrer, Jep Go, Carla Guevara Laforteza, Menchu Lauchenco-Yulo, Esang De Torres, and Michael Williams.

Tickets to Do You Hear the People Sing? will be available to the general public on July 4 on the company's official website. However, if you are a Metrobank Credit Card holder, there will be an online presale from June 28 to July 3.
