Art in the Park 2020 Has Been Postponed
Better safe than sorry!
(SPOT.ph) The Department of Health, on the evening of March 8, reported four new cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines—bringing the total number of affected individuals to 10. The list includes both local and foreign nationals, and infected through both travel history in high-risk countries and local transmission. The four patients were admitted in private hospitals all over Metro Manila: St. Luke's in Taguig City and in Quezon City, Medical City in Pasig, and Makati Medical Center. Given this development, the organizers of Art in the Park have decided to postpone the art event scheduled for March 15, Sunday at Jaime Velasquez Park in Salcedo Village, Makati City.
"We were looking forward with anticipation to another successful edition of Art in the Park. However, in consideration of the recent advisories by both the World Health Organization and the Department of Health, we feel that pushing through with the event would be irresponsible," Art in the Park said in a statement released on March 9, Monday afternoon.
Art in the Park will hopefully be rescheduled to later in 2020, they said.
