(SPOT.ph) International Museum Day (May 18) may be over, but visiting museums is an everyday thing, especially in this age when history and culture are being forgotten. Ayala Museum in Makati City—which is known for its ethnographic and archaeological exhibits on Filipino culture, art, and history—is holding a free-admission day on May 27 to encourage more people to drop by their galleries. Slots are limited to 500 persons on a first-come, first-served basis. Just make sure to be online on May 26 at 4 p.m. when they drop their registration information.

If you can't make it on May 27 (and you're not too keen on spending P350—at least not yet), Ayala Museum also has a virtual tour through the website Gather.Town from May 27 to June 27.

The Ayala Museum reopened with its renovated facility on December 4, 2021, following more than two years of closure due to both the scheduled construction and the (unscheduled) pandemic. The six-storey structure now features a new lobby that adapted the "new normal" sensibility with all the available space. Five exhibitions were unveiled alongside the launch of the new website for an integrated offline-online experience. There's also a Digital Gallery made up of eight sprawling screens where visitors can digitally explore objects from the museum and the library.

Ayala Museum is at Greenbelt Park, Makati Avenue corner Dela Rosa Street, Ayala Center, Makati City. Admission is free to all galleries on May 27, from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Slots are limited. Registration opens on May 26, 4 p.m. For updates, visit Ayala Museum's website.
